Haydon House

haydon house

During my stay I lived at Haydon House. It was an ideal place to meet other staff members.  Also the expenses were an important reason to live on site, as it would have been very difficult to find an affordable flat in the area. My first lodging charge was about 73 pounds per month- bargain!   Many young people from all over the UK and with different nationalities came together at Normansfield. That is what made it so special.

The Normansfield Football Club organized several matches at the back of Normansfield. That was good fun to watch!

In June 1993 I left Normansfield to continue my training and qualified as a RNMH. I returned to the Netherlands four years later.
My present job can be compared to a social worker, but the focus is on people with a broader range of disabilities.
